Injection lipolysis is a completely safe procedure performed by a cosmetologist and does not require any special preparations from the patient. This procedure can be used to remove, among other things, the second chin or fat accumulated on the thighs, buttocks or in the armpit area.
After injection, there is usually redness and swelling, and sometimes bruising from the needle pricks. The treated area becomes more sensitive to touch or pressure, and itching of the skin or slight pain may also occur. This reaction usually lasts for up to several days after the treatment.
Very thin needles are used for the procedure, plus the skin is anaesthetised with a special ointment. Therefore, the punctures should not cause pain. Nevertheless, the patient may experience slight discomfort during the procedure. In addition, the patient may experience pain in the treated areas after the procedure.
You have to wait patiently for the results of injection lipolysis treatment. The fat cells need to break down and be excreted from the body. Usually, the first effects appear after about two months. Sometimes it is necessary to repeat the treatment.
The number of treatments needed to achieve the desired results depends primarily on the amount of fatty tissue. Sometimes one treatment is enough and sometimes a whole series of treatments is recommended.
The effects of lipolysis are permanent. To further enhance them, regular treatments such as lymphatic drainage are recommended.
